Entry from: Luang Prabang, Lao Peoples Dem Rep Entry Title: "Daiquiris and Waterfalls" Entry: "The initial plan was to stay in Luang Prabang for about 3 days but we're now booked in for 6. It is so relaxing its taken a few days to actually get off our backsides and do anything at all. Having the balcony at the front, a french bistro doing the best everything just down the road and a permanent cocktail "happy hour" just after this hasn't really encouraged us out but we've managed to do a few things. (Don't forget we deserve this...its less than 5 days since we were on that boat!). Its funny but each new place you go has the same kind of things on offer. If you are the adrenalin junkie type then at Luang Prabang you can go on a 6-day hike, ride the rapids and go climbing ...(no thank you). Alternatively, you can go on an elephant safari (already hugged one thanks), so when you tell people that for the last 3 days you've concentrated on reading, drinking wine and putting on weight they don't understand. So, for the last day or two we've made the effort. First stop was the ballet!! (Thought we had better start slowly). There is a performance by the National Ballet Company 3 times a week at the Royal Palace. Very enjoyable and lots of fun... you must make sure you ask Lorna to do the Giant's Dance ...
